David graduated from U.C. Berkeley and Golden Gate School of Law (with highest honors), and has practiced Family Law since 1989. David has been Certified by the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Family Law Specialist since 1993 and became a Fellow of the Academy in 2000. After 20 years of litigation experience, Davids current practice emphasizes mediation, Collaborative Practice and private dispute resolution. The focus of his work as an attorney and mediator has always been to assist clients to create their own solutions to dissolving - and forming or re-forming- marital and non-marital relationships. David was recognized as one of the Top 10 Northern California Super Lawyers in 2006, and has been selected to the Top 100 Super Lawyers list each year since 2004. He is a former Chair of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco, a former Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California, and in 2008 will serve as President of the Northern California Chapter of the Academy. David has received the highest rating, AV, by the Martindale-Hubbell law directory since 1992.
